Clickbank Pirate Day 1

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Janice and I live in Auckland, New Zealand.

I feel as if I have been trying to do online affiliate marketing for ages, but really ‘seriously’ I guess for a year.

I use the word ‘seriously’ loosely. I am extremely proficient and get a lot of pleasure from reading Sales Pages, getting excited, then falling flat when it comes to taking action! If you can relate, please post a comment, so I know I’m not just talking to myself!

However, this is the NEW JANICE! This time, I am going to hold myself accountable, and DO SOMETHING every day. I invite you to encourage me to stay true!

I have a lot of knowledge, but I still have a long way to go before I would call myself proficient and successful!

Why did I pick on Clickbank Pirate?
As I said – I have read and read and read.
I know that ideally one should create a list, feed them good content, and eventually some of them will buy from you.
Have I managed to do that yet?
No.
What is stopping me? I don’t think I’ll go into that – there are probably lots of reasons – fear of not being able to follow through – pressure of keeping the information flowing etc.

Anyway – Clickbank Pirate (CBP for short) have taken away that need to go through that learning curve of setting up auto-responders! They’ll do it for me! Hooray.

So, ladies and gentleman – the task before me is to send people to the sites provided by CBP and hey presto – they will follow up on the prospects, provide them with useful content, and when(and if) they buy – the money goes into my Clickbank Account.
Ka-chiiiing!
Am I being a bit optimistic? Possibly – but since online affiliate marketing is what I want to do, I need to start somewhere.
I am working from the principle that anything new can be challenging – so, if I can get good at ‘just’ promoting my site – then I have learned an important skill. From there, if I want to tackle something different, I already have those skills in my armoury. If there are things I can’t do or don’t know – they are just things that I can’t do or don’t know YET – to quote Jennie Armato!

Anyway, my Plan of Action is to do something ‘promotional’ every day.
I will tell you what I’ve done.
I will track the results – also provided by CBP.
And you can get excited with me when I make my first SALE – Ka-chiiiing!

Saturday Day 1
1) I have found on Clickbank, the products that are in my CBP package
I have taken a note of price, and particularly the Gravity
(the higher the better because it means other people are making asles!)
2) At this stage, I am going to concentrate on a single product
I clicked on my link so that the sales page was sent to one of my gmail accounts. That way I can check what emails are sent out on my behalf.

3) On SWAT Traffic (http://super.eCa.sh/swat) I had some banner credits I
hadn’t used, so I put the banner detail into there.
Even that was a first time, because I had no idea how to do it when it said “use the url not html”. So, for newbies like me, my banner html had two addresses in it – the one with my user name is for the “go to url” and the other one was the “banner url”.
If you are stuck, send an email and we can sort it out.

4) Clickbank Pirate gives the option of tracking how traffic has arrived. I therefore took the original link for my product page, and added /link1 /link2 etc. I have set this up in an Excel spreadsheet, and associated each url with a shortened url – partly to save space, partly to make it a friendlier link, and partly to ‘cloak’ my link.
I am using eCash (http://eca.sh/CdZa) to shorten everything. This enables me to do extra tracking, and puts me in the running to make extra money!

Those were the main things I did. I explored the site, looked at the sales pages etc.
I’ll let you know what I do, when I’ve done it tomorrow.
I guess in total today, I have done 4 hours.

Good night!
